Delivering quality, access, and value to healthcare.
At the LeeSar Regional Service Center in Southwest Florida, you’ll find two companies LeeSar and Cooperative Services of Florida. These two distinct organizations share a mission to supply the correct products and services to the right places at the right time for the lowest possible cost.
Leaders in healthcare supply chain management, LeeSar is the operational component of this non-profit venture, while Cooperative Services of Florida is the corporate entity for product research, negotiation and contract management.
The two companies exist today because top executives saw the need for healthcare organizations to lower costs and increase efficiencies, while delivering the highest quality patient care.
LeeSar, a state-of-the-art, 205,000-square-foot regional service center in Fort Myers, is one of the only healthcare supply chain companies in the country to focus on regional service and delivery of supplies directly to health care organizations. LeeSar manages and houses mission-critical healthcare operational services for healthcare organizations, including acquiring and distributing medical supplies, pharmaceutical packaging, sterile instrument processing, supply distribution and cook and chill services.
LeeSar Regional Service Center functions 24 hours per day, seven days per week to service hospitals and healthcare organizations and providers throughout the Southeastern U.S. including Lee Memorial Health System, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, Central Florida Health Alliance in Leesburg, Fla. and Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ala.
The LeeSar Regional Service Center also houses Cooperative Services of Florida (CSF) delivering lower costs for clients by establishing genuine cooperative relationships that lead to breakthrough thinking in supply chain solutions. As the member-sanctioned entity for contract negotiations, Cooperative Services of Florida exists to contract directly between members and manufacturers of supplies, equipment, and services providers.
CSF believes in driving value at both ends of the healthcare supply chain:
- For clinicians, the value is in getting the supplies they want while lowering costs.
- For suppliers, the value is reflected on the bottom line – lower costs, an easily-forecasted sales stream and market share.
- Audited results show Cooperative Services of Florida has been so successful in direct negotiations with manufacturers that their costs to clients are among the lowest five percent in the nation when compared to similar sized operations.
- Cooperative Services of Florida and Centralized Purchasing jointly evaluate the various opportunities presented to our members. Centralized Purchasing executes purchase orders utilizing CSF contracts on behalf of the members.
